For the 2027 AEA Annual Meeting in Washington DC, the AEA is pleased to invite economists working in the public sector to its President’s Reception on January 4, 2027, at 6:00 p.m.  Economists in government and public service put economic research and analysis to work on behalf of the public each day—informing policy, strengthening institutions, improving public programs, and helping decision-makers navigate some of society’s most consequential challenges.

Public-sector economists attending the annual meeting are warmly invited to join AEA President Katharine Abraham, President-elect Janice Eberly, and other AEA leaders at this  event, which is sure to be fun and memorable for all.
