Note: This folder contains the .do files to reproduce the main
tables and figures. It does not contain any .dta files.

The following data is required for a full reproduction of the tables in the paper:

McKenzie, David, Nick Bloom, Aprajit Mahajan, and John Roberts. 2019.
"Replication files for 'Do management interventions last? Evidence from India' 2017".
The World Bank. https://microdata.worldbank.org/index.php/catalog/3545 (accessed November 14, 2019).

In order to obtain the data for the tables, interested researchers as
well as their Head of Department or relevant Dean must sign a
confidentiality letter. Contact nbloom@stanford.edu or
dmckenzie@worldbank.org for more information.

The files assume a Linux/MacOS OS for directory specifications.

Replicating Tables and Figures:

The files in this folder replicate all the tables and figures in the
paper (once the .dta files are available)

These are Tables2-Table5 (Table 1 is reproduced from Bloom et
al (2013) Table 1) and Figures 1-3.

How to replicate the tables:
1. Run createdata.do
This creates the .dta files needed for the tables from the master
files. It needs the .dta files in the folder inputdata/

2. Run alltables.do:
   1. The file calls (in sequence) table2.do, table3.do, table4.do and
      table5.do and figures.do

   2. Each table*.do file resides in a folder called table*/ and
   figures.do resides in figures/

   3. The required .dta files for constructing each table reside in the
      corresponding table folder
